Xscapers 2019 Bash (Day 8)

Day 8

Here it is, the final day of the Xscapers 2019 Bash!  We have a nice hike planned and will also be attending the “Neon Night Rave” scheduled this evening.

The Hike

Just outside the Lake Havasu Rodeo Grounds is a beautiful area called Sara Mountain Park.  One can undertake several hikes ranging from easy to moderate, with a bit of climbing available for the adventurous.  We were interested in two trails, the “Lizard Peak/Table Top Trail” and the “Crack in the Mountain” trail.  The Lizard Peak/Table Top trail increases in elevation to offer 360 degree views and photo opportunities.  Its called Lizard Peak/Table Top due to the picnic table that was hand carried to the top in the 1980’s.

The Crack in the Mountain trail is a bit like “The Narrows“, located within Zion National Park in Utah.  You are surrounded on both sides by walls and have to navigate your way though the “crack”.  We haven’t had the opportunity to hike the Narrows in Utah, so we thought we would try the next best thing and thus we set out on the Crack in the Mountain Trail.

The start of the trail is wide, but soon the walls start coming together.  The sunshine turns to shade, and the drop in temperature is quickly felt.  The hike winds on until ropes are needed in order to navigate the decent.

Overall, the hike was a blast.  Due to the rain earlier in the week, there were several standing pools of water throughout.

The Rave

To close out the Xscapers Bash, the powers that be threw a rave.  The theme for the night also happens to be “neon night”  Buck, being the introvert that he is was dreading the event.  That is, until he saw the monstrosity that is the “Rave Rover”.  What would happen if the modern Batmobile and a Honda Fit had a torrid affair?

The resulting love child may look something like this!

What you are looking at is “The Rave Rover – Mobile DJ Car” brought to you by Boom Bandit’s Entertainment.  If you love electronics and the style of vehicles used in the Mad Max franchise, you will love this thing.  The engine sounded mean, and the music it put out wasn’t bad either.  We danced well into the night, properly closing out the Xscapers 2019 Bash.

We had a delightful time at the bash.  The guest speakers were sincere in their messages, and the environment was welcoming to any and all RVers.  We went into the bash with an open mind and met some amazing new friends.  We are already looking forward to next years bash!  As always, thanks for taking the time to read our blog.
