Full-time RVers traveling the U.S. with our Bengal Cat Ramsey

➡➡ Swipe right for some epic throwback pics — you don’t wanna miss these! 📸
❓Would you survive the Capilano Suspension Bridge?"
1. I was born for this.
2. I’ll just Google it from home.
📍 Capilano Suspension Bridge Park (Part 2)
📌 Vancouver, BC
🎉 Fun fact time: Back in 2010, RaeLynn ended up here thanks to her friend Julie—who got picked on "Let’s Make a Deal" with Wayne Brady (yes, that Wayne Brady 🎤🎭).
🎬 They were filming at the Tropicana in Vegas, Julie channeled her inner game-show queen, maneuvered her way into a free trip to Canada, and said, “Hey RaeLynn, pack your bags.”
😱Next thing you know, they’re in Capilano, clinging to a rope bridge like it’s an emotional support vine.
👭Moral of the story? Bring your bestie to game shows. Let them do the work. Reap the Canadian rewards. 😎
⏫⏫⏫
😅 Majestic rainforest vibes, a bridge stretched 450 feet across, suspended 230 feet above the river, and your heart racing like it’s auditioning for a thriller movie.
🌉 450 feet of “who talked me into this” and 230 feet above a canyon of “I trusted Google Reviews too much.” 😳
📸 The photos? Could’ve been amazing... if my hands weren’t shaking like a chihuahua on espresso.
⏬⏬⏬
📜 Made it across? You get a certificate! Because nothing says "bravery" like a piece of paper proving you willingly crossed a glorified anxiety rope. Frame it next to your high school diploma—one of them required more screaming.
💡 Bonus Tips If You Go:💡
⏰ Go early to beat the crowds (and have your panic attack in peace)
📱📵 Don’t drop your phone unless you want to become part of the park
(RIP to the iPhones that came before you).
📸 Look confident for the photos. Cry later 😎😭🧍‍

❓Could YOU handle the Capilano Suspension Bridge ❓Could YOU handle the Capilano Suspension Bridge?
 1. Like a fearless forest ninja
  2. Like a squirrel having a panic attack
📍 Capilano Suspension Bridge Park (Part 1)
📌 Vancouver, BC
🎦⏭️ Check out the video at the end
🎓 Did You Know?
🛠️ Built in 1889, the original Capilano Bridge was basically “How to Build a Death Trap 101” — hemp rope and cedar planks. Someone said, “Hey, what if we made a sketchy bridge and called it a tourist attraction?” Spoiler: it worked. Now it’s been upgraded to steel cables so you won’t accidentally become a forest pancake.
🪵 “Capilano” means “beautiful river” in Squamish. Or as I like to call it, “the place where you pay to test your life insurance policy.”
🌐 Over 1.2 million people visit every year to scream quietly while trying to look calm on the wobbly bridge. Bonus points if you don’t drop your phone mid-panic.
🎄 At Christmas, the bridge lights up for Canyon Lights—think Hogwarts, but with more “please don’t fall” vibes.
🌳 The park has seven suspended footbridges in Treetops Adventure—some 100 feet high. Basically, if you survive the first bridge, nature says, “Hold my roots.”
🧗‍♂️ Cliffwalk is a narrow path bolted to a cliff because walking safely on solid ground is just too mainstream.
📜 It’s older than the Eiffel Tower and Lady Liberty’s torch, so you’re basically walking on historical wobbly legacy. Wear comfy shoes… and maybe a helmet.
💰 Privately owned since forever, which explains the world-class fudge and gift shop designed to steal your money faster than the bridge steals your breath.
😎🌉Ready to risk it all for the perfect selfie? Capilano Bridge: 100% adrenaline, 0% warranty.

📍Peace Arch Historical State Park 📌 Blaine, 📍Peace Arch Historical State Park
📌 Blaine, WA
🎥 Be sure to watch the 2 videos at the end - the flowers are stunning! 💐
🚗 Discover Pass? Yep, you need one. Worth it? Heck yes — it’s cheaper than therapy and comes with flowers.
🌿✨ Welcome to the most peaceful international hotspot in North America.
🏛️💁‍♀️ Literally where the U.S. and Canada hold hands under a 67-foot-tall arch of friendship. Built in 1921, because nothing says “we cool?” like a giant marble monument.
🌸 FLORAL WARNING: Side effects may include spontaneous twirling, frolicking, and severe smiling. Proceed with flower enthusiasm at your own risk.
💐 This place is basically Mother Nature’s VIP party — wild roses, lupines, daffodils, and enough blooms to make your allergies send a thank-you card.
🧠 Take a deep breath and just think about all the beautiful flowers.
📸 Insta-worthy? Yes.
🦋 Butterfly sightings? Very likely.

📍Beach Cat Brewing
📌 Blaine, WA
🍺🐾 Post-flower frolic survival tip: swing by Beach Cat Brewing in Blaine, WA — because beach vibes + cat vibes = the purr-fect hangout.
🏖️🐱 Think salty sea air meets cozy brewery charm, with craft brews as chill as a cat napping in the sun.
🍻 Whether you crave hoppy IPAs or smooth stouts after a day of flower power, Beach Cat’s got your back — and maybe a furry friend on your lap.
🌊✨ Great beer, killer vibe, and a name that’s pure gold. What more could you want?
🌊✨ In short: great beer, killer atmosphere, and a name that instantly wins at life. What more could you want?
⏬️⏬️
🚐 Thanks for riding along on our adventures!
Next stop: epic views, dizzying heights, and just a little wobble... somewhere in Canada. 😉 Stay tuned!

📍 Port Townsend ➡️ Coupeville (Washington) 📍 Port Townsend ➡️ Coupeville (Washington)
🚐💨 Took our house on wheels (aka the RV) on a wild Pacific Northwest adventure!
🤔 We were staying in Port Angeles with reservations up in Birch Bay, WA.
The big question:
How do we get there without losing our minds (or our brakes) on I-5?
🤔The Options:
👎 Option 1:
5 hours and 20 minutes through Seattle traffic.
(Translation: 5+ hours of white-knuckle driving and regretting every life choice.) 😱
👍 Option 2:
Put the RV on a ferry 🚢 from Coupeville to Port Townsend.
🎬 Only 3 hours total—and we get to pretend we’re in a movie? Yes please.
💭Spoiler: We chose chaos.
😅I mean, the ferry life.
🌊🚀BUT—we had to stalk the tide schedule like we were launching a space shuttle.
🫠Some early morning ferries had been canceled, and we were sweating harder than our RV’s brakes on a downhill pass.
🌽 We're from Kansas—land of 🌽 and 🚫 ferries—so this was a big deal for us.
✅The verdict? Totally worth it.
✔️ Got to walk around the ferry like total pros
✔️ Spotted a whale in the distance 🐋
✔️ Avoided Seattle traffic (a true miracle)
🐾 MVP of the trip?
🐈Ramsey the Bengal cat 😼
He chilled in the car during the ferry ride, stared out the window like a tiny sea captain, and fully embraced his inner nautical explorer. 🧭🌊
Ferry: ✅
Whale: ✅
Cat approval: ✅
Seattle bypassed: ✅✅✅
💗Would do it again in a heartbeat.

📍 Port Angeles, Washington 🎦 Check out the 3 📍 Port Angeles, Washington
🎦 Check out the 3 videos at the end. Welly’s Ice Cream is a unique ice-cream place.
🌄Tucked between the Olympic Mountains and the Salish Sea like a scenic burrito — wrapped in pine-scented serenity and just a hint of seagull sass. Think National Geographic meets small-town fever dream. It’s basically a Windows XP screensaver with commitment issues.
🏞️ Outdoor Vibes
Whether you're hiking Olympic National Park to prove you're "outdoorsy now," or power-walking past the waterfront to justify that third pastry — Port Angeles makes you feel like you’ve got this. Even if you don’t.
🗻 Port Angeles Wharf
It’s like someone tossed a boardwalk at the ocean, added mountains, threw in an octopus for spice, and called it a day. Spoiler: It works.
🐙 The Rocktopus
Downtown’s iconic octopus sculpture — imagine a glam rock fever dream with tentacles. Equal parts art, confusion, and “why does my selfie have eight arms?”
🍦 Welly’s Ice Cream
They take a hard-packed ice cream base — sweet cream or dairy-free vanilla if you’re fancy — toss it in a magic machine with frozen fruit, and boom out comes this ridiculously smooth, creamy fruit-flavored ice cream. It’s basically like your taste buds just took a first-class trip to Happyland and forgot to send a postcard.
🔭 City Pier Observation Tower
Climb it like you’ve got something to prove — and be rewarded with a 360° view that slaps harder than your morning cold brew.
🥾 Olympic National Park = Nature Buffet
Whether you're a seasoned hiker, a casual stroller, or just here for the Instagram
✨ Bottom Line
Port Angeles has something for everyone — even that person who insists they “don’t do nature” but somehow always ends up here. So whether you’re a trailblazer or a professional bench warmer, this town’s got your back.

📍 Lovers Lane, B-Loop, and Sol Duc Nature Trail 📍 Lovers Lane, B-Loop, and Sol Duc Nature Trail Loop
📌 Olympic National Park
🎥 Check out the 2 videos at the end...the waterfall is stunning!
🐜😂 Took a “romantic” stroll down Lovers Lane… somehow we ended up lost in the B-Loop, arguing over directions and dodging bugs like pros.
💦 When we finally made it to the waterfall on the Sol Duc Nature Trail Loop, surprise — it was packed like a concert 🎤! Nothing says romance like trying to snap a selfie 🤳 while elbowing strangers.
❤️🥾🤣 Marriage: navigating crowded trails, bad directions, and waterfall photo bombs — together forever.
🐾🚗😆 Just when we thought we’d escaped the wild, the campground turned into a maze—and suddenly we were lost on the trail. Because why end the adventure early?

📹 Check out the 2 videos at the end.
💨🥾 Survived Hurricane Hill — still no hurricane, but my thighs called for backup and FEMA is en route 🍑🔥
🍑🔥 Spoiler alert: 0 hurricanes, 100% glute meltdown
🏔️👀 Views so good they should come with a “may cause existential crisis & sudden urge to become a hermit” warning
🦋 Saw a butterfly living its best life while I was wheezing like a dial-up modem trying to connect in 2025
❄️☀️ Also caught snow in July — nature’s way of trolling summer like, “Bet you didn’t see this coming.”
10/10 would hike again (once I find my legs and stop limping like a confused flamingo).

📍Devil's Punchbowl via Spruce Railroad Trail
📌Olympic National Park
🤳😂What they didn’t mention about Devil’s Punchbowl: Finally captured the Devil’s Punchbowl without a dozen strangers in the shot! It was an Olympic-level effort of timing, strategic positioning, and pretending to tie my shoe for 15 minutes. The final photo is pure magic!
💙🥤The water was so blue it looked like someone dumped a whole bottle of blue Gatorade into Lake Crescent.
❄️🧊Nature’s way of saying, “Stay hydrated, but also maybe don’t jump in—it's freezing!”
📊 Trail Stats
 🚶‍↔Distance: ~2.4 miles round-trip
