📸 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗽𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱. 🎥

🥾 This was our 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 hiking the 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹, so I guess it's officially one of our 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀.

😂 At this point, the 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 probably recognize us and are wondering why we keep showing up.

🌿 This 𝟳.𝟭-𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗽 has everything you could want from a Florida adventure—beautiful scenery, incredible wildlife, and just enough mystery to make every rustle in the bushes seem suspicious.

🦅 On this hike, we spotted 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝗱𝘀, 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, and 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝗴𝘀.

🌉 The trail includes 𝟭𝟰 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸𝘀 because Florida can't seem to decide if it wants to be land or water.

🐊 Seeing 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 is exciting. Seeing 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 starts to feel like you're the guest in their neighborhood.

😅 Around 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝟲, we started questioning our life choices. By 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝟳, we were already talking about coming back again.

🌞 That's why this trail keeps pulling us back. Every hike is different, and you never know what 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 is waiting around the next bend.

🌳 This giant 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗮𝗸 at 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 is estimated to be 𝟮𝟬𝟬–𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗹𝗱.
That means it was here 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲.

😂 But here’s the funny part…
After centuries of growth and being one of Florida’s most impressive natural landmarks, it still has to share the spotlight with a 𝟮𝟬-𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘀.

🐚 Talk about getting outshined by a mound.

🌳 A tree older than pretty much 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝘄𝗻

💡 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗧𝗶𝗽: Pair 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸 with 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸 (our last post). They’re only ~𝟮𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁, both are 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲, and together they make the perfect 𝗢𝗹𝗱 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮 𝗱𝗮𝘆.

💚 Green Springs Park might be one of Florida's best FREE hidden gems!

🌿 Walking around the spring felt like stepping into Jurassic Park, with twisting oak trees, lush greenery, and glowing emerald water around every corner.

🌊 The water was an unreal shade of emerald green and honestly looked photoshopped in person.

🥾 We took the easy 0.5-mile trail around the spring and enjoyed the peaceful scenery.

🐊 Then we spotted an alligator swimming through the bright green water! Nothing reminds you that you're in Florida quite like seeing a gator casually cruising through a spring.

🥚 Fair warning: this is a sulfur spring, so you'll definitely notice that famous rotten egg smell. 😂

📸 Beautiful scenery, wildlife, and a little bit of that weird Florida charm all in one place.

🌅 The 𝗌𝖾𝖼𝗋𝖾𝗍 to 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴’𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴? Get there 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻. The water is quieter, the crowds are smaller, and the 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 is everywhere.

🦌 During our paddle, we spotted 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗿 along the shoreline, a wild turkey, playful 𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, Florida native birds, and fish swimming through the 𝗰𝗿𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹-𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿. It honestly felt like we had the river all to ourselves.

🚣‍♀️ Whether you rent a kayak or bring your own, paddling through the 𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 feels like stepping into another world.

✨ Mornings like this are a reminder to 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻, put the phone away, and enjoy the simple things.

💚 This was our 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁, and it was just as 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 as the first. Easily one of our 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 places to spend a peaceful morning.

🐟 Seeing Florida birds, crystal-clear water, fish swimming right below us, and even a few deer drinking from the water was absolutely magical 💚

Exploring the 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗶𝘁𝘇𝗸𝗮 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 (“𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘇”) is a mix of calm paddling… and full-on jungle adventure 🌿😅

𝗣𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴, exploring, and trying not to fall in while drifting through this 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗵𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗴𝗲𝗺 🌊😂
We found a hidden spring tucked deep in the trees, then made our way to “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸” — where saltwater and freshwater collide 🤯🌊

Then came the rope swing + cave moment… and one man handled both 😆

✔️ The only one brave (or volunteered with zero hesitation 😆) enough to do both while everyone else watches 👀😂

Nothing beats a day like this with friends — where one person handles all the “stunt work” for the content 📸😆

10/10 day: great people, wild spots, and unforgettable views 🌅🚣‍♂️🏄‍♀️

Ramsey loves exploring and traveling—on travel days, he sleeps the whole ride so he’s rested and ready for his next adventure. 🚗✨

He sits by the door when he wants to go outside, loves chasing birds, rabbits, squirrels, and lizards, and still has plenty of energy at 15 years old.

When he’s not exploring, you’ll find him basking in the sun like the king he is. ☀️😻

🐒 Monkey drama at Silver Springs State Park and we were NOT prepared 😂

One looked like it kissed another 💋 (romance? chaos? Florida wildlife soap opera?)
The rest were just vibing and snacking like it’s a riverfront brunch buffet

Meanwhile… we got so distracted by the monkey show we almost missed the kayak shuttle 🚣‍♀️😅

10/10 experience. 0% productivity. 100% would risk it all for more monkey gossip 🐒🔥

We tackled the Oxbow Perimeter Loop—3.2 miles of definitely not a “quick stroll” 🌿

🌳 Views: wow… Florida, you clean up nice 👀✨
💦 Sweat: aggressive… basically human sprinklers 🥵
😅 Loops: endless… are we there yet??
✅ Lost? Miraculously, nope (personal growth unlocked)

Would we do it again? Absolutely.
Would we be extra sweaty and dramatic again? 100% 😂
