Xscapers 2019 Bash (Days 1-2)

Xscapers Annual Bash 2019

DAY 1

After all the miles and a staggering amount of DEF, we finally made it to the 2019 Xscapers Bash in Lake Havasu, Arizona.  For those who do not know, Xscapers is a community within the Escapees RV Club.  Xscapers is geared towards working age RVers.  The RV lifestyle has been rapidly changing over the last few years due to the vast amount of opportunities to work remotely.  Many families, couples, and individuals are taking to the road at earlier ages instead of waiting until retirement.  Xscapers provides amazing community, and resources to meet the needs of these RVers.

Parking and check-in was scheduled for 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, but since this was our first time attending an event of this size, we wanted to make sure we arrived sooner rather than later.  We ended up arriving at the event somewhere around 10:00 AM and were quickly parked.  When we signed up for the event, there were 5 different areas to choose from.  General, Solar, Solo, Family, and Party.  We thought about choosing the “Party” section, but due to RaeLynn’s 3:40 AM – 6 AM teaching schedule, we ultimately decided to stay in the “General” section to take advantage of its quiet hours.  The welcome party started at 6:00 PM with opening remarks from the founders of the Xscapers group, Travis and Melanie Carr.  Some of the nights will have a theme associated to them, and tonight just happens to be “80’s Night”.  Pop Gun Rerun provided live music and were absolutely outstanding.

DAY 2

The second day of the event started with a coffee meetup for first timers.  We stayed up much past our bedtime listening to Pop Gun Rerun, so the coffee was a welcome site.  We then attended a presentation given by Heath and Alyssa Padgett.  Heath and Alyssa are two amazing people who have taken the rv world by storm.  They have a very successful blog and podcast.  More info about their adventures and numerous business endevours can be found HERE.
